Sea World San Diego

This world-renowned marine life park has diverse aquariums, educational exhibits, sea creature petting zoos and encounters, thrilling rides, behind-the-scenes tours, and aquatic entertainment shows starring Sea World’s most fascinating and majestic marine animals. Online prices range from $69.00 for a single-day ticket for guests aged 3 years old and up, to $395.00 up-front or $24.93 monthly for 2-year platinum membership annual passes. Discounted prices are not available at the park, so you will want to check online to see which ticket options will best fit your needs (as well as see if any discounts are available).

LEGOLAND California

San Diego is also home to one of the most beloved theme-parks in California: LEGOLAND! Kids and kids-at-heart alike will love this adorable-yet-thrilling park catering to those with the same creative spirit as the innovative thinkers behind LEGO. Ride rollercoasters, build your own LEGOs, and visit other interactive LEGO exhibits.

Single-day admission tickets can be purchased for children ages 3 years-old to 12 years-old at $87.00 online, while adult tickets (for ages 13 years-old and up) are $93.00 online. Annual passes for unlimited admission to LEGOLAND California begin at $149.00 dollars.

San Diego Zoo

The San Diego Zoo is world famous for its intriguing collection of animals and educational exhibits. The zoo is open every day of the year, including all holidays, with hours of operation generally falling between 9:00am and 6:00pm (with the exception of extended summer hours and other fluctuations as needed). San Diego Zoo also hosts the San Diego Zoo Safari Park! However, the distance between the two parks is 35 miles, and takes 45 minutes to an hour for travel time.

Ticket prices range from $40.00 for a 1-Day Pass for children ages 3 to 11 years-old (or $50.00 for an adult ticket for ages 12 years-old and up) to annual memberships at $50.00 and up for children ages 3 to 17 years-old (or $111 and up for adults ages 18 years-old and up). Balboa Park

This immense park is home to a vast number of museums, gardens, attractions, and recreational areas all on its own—including the San Diego Zoo! Free tours are offered by most of the cultural institutions in Balboa Park, while other San Diego sightseeing attractions (such as museums and the San Diego Zoo) have an admission fee.

For history and art enthusiasts, Balboa Park offers passes for exploring the various museums that the park has to offer. One-Day Explorer passes begin at $26.00 for children ages 3 to 12 years and $45 for adults ages 13 years and older, while Annual Explorer passes can be purchased for full-time students and seniors at $99.00, adults (ages 18 and up) at $129.00, and families (2 adults and up to 4 children ages 3 to 17 years) for $229.00.
