San Diego is a stunning city from its downtown core to the canyons and hills on the outskirts of town. Because of its warm, temperature climate, San Diego also produces some of the most beautiful flowers, fields upon fields of them. Visit the Carlsbad Ranch to view the stunning Carlsbad flower fields.
What’s in Bloom
The star of this show is the Tecolote® Giant Ranunculus, also known as the Persian Buttercup or Ranunculus Asiatic. At the ranch, these flowers bloom in bright yellows, pinks, reds, oranges, whites and more. There are more than 50 acres of ranunculus carlsbad here.
When to Visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields
The peak season for the ranunculus is mid-March through Mid-April. Dates may change due to weather conditions, so check the ranch’s press room for bloom updates.
You’ll want to take home some of these beauties once you witness them in person at the Carlsbad flower fields. Fresh cut flowers, potted plants
We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Bring plenty of water. Food vendors are available on the weekends, but we think these flowers are best enjoyed with your very own picnic. There are picnic tables at the Carlsbad flower fields.
