The Cove of La Jolla is located on the northern shores of San Diego, just north of the La Jolla area. The area is almost all shoreline and wraps around point La Jolla. Lifeguards are staffed from 9 am to dusk daily. If there is an emergency while at the beach, please notify the guard on duty immediately. There is also no alcohol or glass containers allowed at the beach. This is for the safety of the beachgoers and to protect the local sea life.
