The Fishery

Fresh caught fish is a favorite dinner of ours, and we try to get out on the water as often as we can to ensure that we always have some of our favorite fish in the freezer, ready to prepare for a simple and healthy meal. Unfortunately, our full-time jobs, families, and other commitments don’t really allow us to fish as much as we like—but that’s ok. On those nights when we are all running in a thousand different directions and don’t have the time to cook, we make time for a family dinner at The Fishery in San Diego! Located at 5040 Cass Street and open every day of the week from 10 AM until 10PM, this restaurant/seafood market is a cool place to eat in San Diego and  provides the much-craved fresh fish meals we all love and adore at prices that don’t break the budget!

Family Atmosphere

You’ll find The Fishery in San Diego has an interior that is both charming and modern, while hiding no secrets. The stainless-steel kitchen is open to the restaurant, allowing guests to observe the magic behind the making of their meals, and the wood countertop at the full bar is a convivial spot to sit and have a drink with your friends as you sample the unlisted menu items, laughter and warmth. The market part of the restaurant has an old-fashioned charm, glass front freezers hold the catch of the day (all fish are brought in daily!), bottles of wine decorate the wood shelves behind the counter, and the smiles on the attentive salesperson makes you want to buy all that they have! You, your kids and your friends will love this cool place to eat in San Diego, CA!

Combining Farm-Fresh Ingredients & Wild Caught Fish

Featuring an extensive wine menu that ensures you will always find a glass that goes with your dinner choice, it’s the food that will bring you back time and time again. Lunch starters such as oysters on the half shell or Clams Bordelaise allow you to take the edge off without spoiling your appetite for the crispy cod burrito or shrimp tacos you are having for lunch. Dinners that begin with clam chowder or Northwest Crab Cakes start off wonderfully, while the sushi, vegetable Pad Thai, or spaghetti and swordfish meatballs fill your stomach quite nicely. Be sure to save room for dessert as The Fishery San Diego is famous for such sweet treats as butterscotch pudding, crème brulee, and our personal favorite, pumpkin cheesecake!
