For the majority of the past decade, Art of Elan has found unique and exciting ways to showcase classical music and introduce San Diego residents and visitors to a wide variety of sounds. The founders use one-hour events in San Diego to present the elegance and spirit of classical music to new audiences throughout the region, holding programs at a diverse mixture of venues. This year, Diverse Soundscapes is one of the many concerts being put on by the organization.
What to Expect From Diverse Soundscapes
Diverse Soundscapes is a special program dedicated to the different sounds of music and the assortment of noises heard all around us in the 21st century. The evening will feature pieces by John Cage and Nico Muhly and the “Steampunk” works of David Bruce. It will also mark the West Coast debut of “Ritornello for strings” by Caroline Shaw.
Art of Elan: Diverse Soundscapes will be held March 14th at 7:00PM in Gallery 16 of the San Diego Museum of Art, which is located in beautiful Balboa Park. Tickets are $50 for non-member adults and $45 for college students, seniors, and military.
Attending an Art of Elan event is one of the most memorable experiences you’ll have the opportunity of participating in during your vacation.
