How to See the Best of San Diego in 3 Days
When you’re visiting San Diego and you’re pressed for time, you’ll want to visit the most famous landmarks—especially if it’s your first visit and you want to create lifelong memories of the city and its people. Let’s say you only have three days to stay. What are you going to see and where will you go? It’s a tough question considering that San Diego has so many attractions, and it usually takes more than one visit to cover them all. We’ve put together a good three-day plan to get you started!
If you like animals and the outdoors, a visit to San Diego Zoo Safari Park is the best way to start your visit to the city. It’s an immersive experience where you get to see herds of animals in their natural habitat. Unlike the zoo, these animals roam free and don’t feel the need to put on a show for the visitors. This is the closest you can get to an actual safari in Africa. Lions, giraffes, and antelopes just go about their daily business in a wonderful experience. There are also events to keep you busy the whole day. Check out Cart Safari, Cheetah Safari, and Butterfly Jungle.
Since you’re in San Diego, why not visit Balboa Park? It’s always changing,so every time you visit it feels like the first time. You’re guaranteed to spend a delightful day enjoy culture, science, and nature. This is another attraction that needs more than a day to enjoy all it has to offer. It has 16 museums, multiple performing arts venues, lovely gardens, and a variety of trails among many other attractions. Hopefully, you’ll create some great memories here as well!
Still with the outdoors and wildlife. Today you’ll be spending it with marine life, though. Head over to SeaWorld San Diego, where you’ll enjoy 190 acres of water, beautiful animals and a stunning experience. You’ll be welcomed at the Explorer’s Reef and from there you get to see the iconic wave structures that lead you to the underworld of the sea. Marine animals swim in front of you without a care in the world. Children will enjoy the rides of the Ocean Explorer.
