Must See and Do
Although Legoland San Diego has been around for a long time, The Lego Movie reminded everyone of how much they loved Legos as kids, and how they can still enjoy them today! Legoland San Diego now features The Lego Movie Experience that makes everything you loved about the movie come to life.
The Lego Movie Experience offers a behind-the-scenes look at a real movie set—soundstage, actual movie footage, and you can even explore some of the awesome models that helped inspired the movie.
The Legoland San Diego park is divided into The Beginning, Explorer Island, Lego Friends Heartlake City, Fun Town, Pirate Shores, Castle Hill, Land of Adventure, Imagination Zone and Miniland USA—and don’t forget the Legoland Water Park and Lego Chima Water Park.
But if you can’t do it all, you should definitely fit in these attractions:
The Beginning. A 16-foot tall LEGO® pharaoh guards the entrance to Lost Kingdom Adventure where you begin your journey to recover stolen treasure by blasting targets with laser guns. Your score is recorded and competition is fierce as skill and determination are the keys to a successful expedition.
Pirate Shores. Experience Splash Battle with its ship-themed vehicles that put you behind your own water cannon as you navigate through pirate-infested waters. Aim your cannon and take your best watery shot at spectators and other riders. But this is pirate territory so beware, because all of your targets are armed and ready to retaliate. All the while you’ll be surrounded by magnificent blustery pirate scenes of detailed LEGO® models.
Castle Hill. Climb aboard the medieval Dragon coaster! You and your family will encounter twists, turns, and hills with a spirited and humorous view of life behind the scenes within the enchanted LEGOLAND® Castle.
Knight’s tournament This one-of-a-kind adventure features twists, turns and fun for the entire family. You will cross a medieval moat, select the intensity of your ride experience and embark on your quest aboard one of six passenger-carrying robotic arms.
Imagination Zone. The weatherman may not call for precipitation, but the AQUAZONE® Wave Racer sure does! Power ski through the waves and dodge surprise water blasts triggered from spectator stations.
You’re on the right track to one of the greatest action experiences in LEGOLAND®. Brave guests feel the powerful acceleration, braking and maneuverability as they race a life-size LEGO TECHNIC® vehicle along a wild roller coaster track.
Miniland USA. Miniland USA is the heart of LEGOLAND® California Resort. A dedication to the ultimate expression of the LEGO® art form, Miniland USA includes reproductions of seven areas of the United States, all constructed with 20 million LEGO bricks in 1:20 scale, that can be seen from many places in the Park.
The most important part of your trip to San Diego is where you’ll stay. Whether it’s a luxury Mission Beach Boardwalk oceanfront house, a quiet La Jolla cottage, or access to the nightlife in Pacific Beach, we’ve got you covered.
